Saving Charlotte’s Trees

Charlotte Magazine recently asked the question “What is the value of a tree”? From the article, “Charlotte still merits the title ‘City of Trees’, but as development downs more of them, city officials and conservationists work to plant new seeds of growth.”

Both Tabitha Warren, from the city’s communications office, and Laurie Reed, our city arborist, help define the value of trees — and how the city has “to be thoughtful about what we’re putting in the ground: the right tree, the right place, and then taking care of it.”
